I think south African soccer is really good, but I hugely doubt that Cameroon are going to qualify, They have their big Etto, and they desereve to reach the finals. While other teams who're qualified are not good... In their style of play I didn't see anything that showed they are able to qualify, Algerian and Moroccans' teams are so much better than Ghana... As for Brazil, they have a lot of impressive players but they lack a good defence, so I don't believe that they are good enough as a team to win 2006 world cup... Another point to notice is that Brazilian beat Germans 2-0 not 3-0 in 2002 final match, and they didn't easily win it. The match was so hard, we also didn't have our suspended midfielders Michael Ballack, Dietmar Hamman, also Oliver Nuevil... It's no disgrace to lose against Brazilians, though. Ayoo and Zahraa you are SO knowledgeable about soccer, I really admire you! mish ma32ool! Thanks Karen.

hi soccer fans 1- i was really disappointed tht Tunisia & Ksa will play in same group so Arab chances of acceeding to round 2 are reduced to 1. 2-i'm sad b/c Tunisia will play versus Ksa,which means me against zooni,joooj,noda,.. (i love you guys ) 3-let me dissect th 8 groups: Group A; Germany Costarica Poland Icuador Germany who, btw, are much better than 2002 WC..will have no prob. qualifying with..th 2nd is not obvious to me,b/c th 3 left teams could-in 90 mns- make it Group B; England Paraguay, Trinity & Tobago, Sweden England will qualify to next round..with Sweden unless Paraguay who play good football surprise us. Group C; Argentina Cote D'ivoire(Ivory Coast) Serbia-Montenegro Holland th death group..Argentina-1 of th best teams present-will not play easy versus Holland(a good team with young players) Serbia Montenegro (solid team) & Ivory Coast an excellent african team who kicked Cameroon & Egypt out, they have very good defenders & strikers & Drogba 1 of th best players of Chelsea(zahra- i think- asked where's Cameroon) so Argentina will be in 2nd round..& ? its open to th 3.. Group D; Mexico Iran Angola Portugal Mexico & Portugal won't be in difficulties versus Iran..who is no more th iranian team we knew before & Angola who play 1st time in WC Group E; Italy Usa Tzech republic Ghana Italy & Tzech teams will pass easy, unless Usa..(they're getting better) Group F; BraZZZZil Croatia Australia Japan I don't see who can prevent "th magicians" from passing..2nd team will be either Croatia or Japan..who got a draw versus Brazil earlier group G; France Switzerland South Korea Togo French team was eliminated by Senegal in 2002 WC 1st round..they are not as strong as we knew them before..but besides zidane(who isnt th zidane of 1998) there are trezeguet -goleador in Calcio- tierry henry excellent striker in english premier league ..It won't be easy for them, they couldn't win Swiss team in qualifying games(2 draws) & they found difficulties versus South korea in 2002 WC.. Togo will play for 1st time in WC..(btw,they kicked Nigeria out) they won't make it even tho they have an excellent striker-Adebayor- who plays in Monaco. my 2 teams will be France..& either Switzerland or South Korea (if they are as fast as in 2002,in Seoul) Group H; Spain Ukraine tunisia Ksa do you believe in miracles?

Hi King, how are you? First of all, I agree with what you said, Tunis and Saudi teams both have the stars though. Good luck to both teams .. As for your second point, I agree but you don't have to be sorry about it, it doesn't mean that you're against them, lol the day before yesterday Iraqi team played against Syria, so it doesn't mean we're against Syrian people.... It's just soccer! As for the groups, As a German fan I'll look for reasons to justify that German team deserves to win the champion, We do have the right team by virtue of skill, resilience and talent, In my opinion. I agree with you about Group B, you have to look at the players of Paraguay and the clubs they play for to realize that on paper alone. About the English team, I think they have the best chance to reach the finals, this time... Group C, As I said, Argentina is going to win, when I asked where is Cameroon, I meant that they're a very good team and they're better than Ivory Coast, they can win under pressure. Look at their history. They do have the killer instinct, and I'm not sure if you follow their matches. Last year, German team had a strong fight with them in a friendly match, Miroslav Klose and Kevin Kouranyi scored three goals though, so we won the game and it was incredibly hard, also in 2002 Germany played against them cause they were in a same group. Klose and Berd Schnieder scored two goals, but I can't tell you how game it was, even the German goaly said that German team luckily won the match.... It was completely a war! And I also agree about Korea, but I think in 2002 they had to be tough to win on their home turf, though German team kicked them by a golden goal, by Micheal Ballack. To answer your question about miracles, I think Yes, and I call it "sport crimes", just like what happened to French and Italyan teams in 2002 world cup, everybody who loves attractive smart football was crying because they lost and let another teams who don't deserve it to win these kind of tournament... But still, I do feel that the Arabs have a strong quad, I would cry for joy if we won and qualify to next round... If Zidan didn't score any goal, it doesn't mean that he was bad at all, remember that there should be a good team with a strong defense and a goaly, and a smart manager. They have true stars like; Wiltord, Zidane, Trezeguet, Djorkaeff will, and don't forget about their amazing goal-keeper Fabian Barthez who was a best goaly in 1998, So I think that their losing was a crime, or a " miracle" ... As for Henry, I like him, but I don't label him great, and he wasn't a top scorer even in 1998, Davor Suker was... but personally, he's about the only person I respect at arsenal, with Sigge, Dietmar Hamman and Jens Lehmens....

helloooo zahoooraaaa abt Tunisia/Ksa..akeed its ONLY.. soccer but i i would have preferred us to play in different groups for reasons i explained in my above post ;D abt Cameroon..even tho they 're a great team, they didn't make it..Ivory Coast kicked them out; they were impressive in qualifying games. THAT is soccer..it's not "science" eveything is possible in 90 mns tht's wht happened, btw, to France in 2002 WC in Seoul..when they were beaten by El 7aj's goal & Senegal..french team wasn't th dream team th soccer world knew in 1998 As to Fabien Barthez, he's no more Number ONE french goalkeeper..Coupet & him are playing each a game ..until March 2006, th french coach will decide then WHO will be th official french goalkeeper..(Barthez was away for 6 months after he spat on a morrocan referee ;D) & yes french team has many great players as those you mentioned except Djorkaeff who's no more in french selection,as to Thierry Henry..2002 WC was a fiasco 4 th whole french team..& Croat Davor Suker won th best WC "goleador" title,btw..Real Madrid wanted T. Henry this year..but Arsenal didn't give in so far.. i love to talk soccer with you zahoora &

I think this is the only reason I watch international soccer and go brazil! you confused me karen :Pso you go for italians or brazilians ? Italians because they are hot and Brazil because my family (brothers, cousins, dad) are die hard Brazil fans. Last time at the world cup all of my family was here from Lebanon and wanted to watch the games live but the times were so messed up, I'd get awoken at 3:00 in the morning to see them going crazy for Brazil!

I believe what you said, and sometimes a couple of seconds can change the whole match, it's just that "if your team scores one goal more than the other team you win the game" ... About French team, I personally think that they were better than Brazil, Italya, England and Germany in 1998. They had remarkable players with great speed and flair, that is all what I can describe them superbly... But you're right, in 2002 The stylish and attractive football we saw in France wasn't there, their players march into the WC 2002 with high expectation on them, but in the end, France were dumped out in the first round, because they had a bad preparation for 2002 Cup, I guess... Fabien Barthez was very good goaly, and I personally love Coupet, he's very cute and fit... But I think that Barthez is away much better and yes, I know. ;D I think he always seems angry... Yeah, you're right about Henry, Arsenal used to have previous relations with Real Madrid, I think he still has a contract with them, but I guess that the decision only makes sense if he stay with Arsenal. Yep dude. Me too, it was nice talking to you about soccer, and sorry for the long posts, it's just that I let myself into soccer talks too much... ;D And...

Jowi, I miss you! Yeah, no one can stop any soccer stars, as long as they keep carriying their selves... Also, German players, in my opinion, no one can stop Miroslav klose, Micheal Ballack, Tomas Linke, Hinkl, Gerald Asamuah and Marko Bomman. Yalla, hope you good luck next summer.
