do they just want to get married or whut in hawa sawa most girls were algerian in starac salma and reem sticking to jordanian boys and now qisma naseeb there 4 algerian where did all the algerian men go well your average Algerian girl wouldn't accept to join such shows, let alone their parents. But I noticed the girls who did are the indepedent I*don't* give* a d**n *what* you* think* type* of *girls. Anyways they don't represent your average Algerian. Algerian men are busy finding a way to go to Europe and marry a blonde European..so in a way I don't blame these girls. ;D

Aya said she is the only one who has been accepted from 600 tunisian girls / I am sure they are not the only ones who liked to join the show much more like but they couldnt join becuz of maybe communication or being occupied but they wish. 600 of new generation is not little number for one country. opposition to these shows is because what happens in them through our watchings is contradicted with our fixed set of values upon which our parents & grands lived with it for long long years. by the time of the kids of these contestants I guess the mentality of most people will tolerate such cause for being married through such a mean . in my opinion if this show considers some measurements to make it dignified for the sacred marraige band it would be good for all. there are already girls who applied fo marraige through internet/ and newspapers. there are thousands arab girls who date by the knowledge of their parents or secretly/ there are girls who married '3orfi' a questionalble marraige about its legality / there are too much patterns of immoral behaviour in our universities .. So this show is not a revolutionary step towards change since we already have in factual life and more of what is going on inside the house. the only difference is that it is exposed in our tv and enforced to be watched ' by the kids' of those parents who are against it. at least the mothers existance in the show gives it some seriouity and respect / and balance. if only the contestants stop the doorphone and window unnecessary flirtings. that is why I was with having consultants to guide and organize the developments . and btw rasha said it

Marriage is a serious thing, it should not be for entertainment or profit. even in the West these kinds of shows are not accepted. I find the show somewhat entertaining but it has nothing to do with social enfetah or whatever.

Marriage is a serious thing, it should not be for entertainment or profit. even in the West these kinds of shows are not accepted. I find the show somewhat entertaining but it has nothing to do with social enfetah or whatever. TV is known as an important source of information and as a tool of social change/ that is in recorded programs what about a live show for 3 months. look at our countries and see how girls & boys are influned with what they are watching . this is called social change. I meant by enfeta7 in mentality by utilizing from the show and learn from it not just entertain . I didnt mean en7elal . I didnt say the show is the ideal way for mate selection/ but i am answering someone who degrade the girls in the show while there are much worst cases in the real . It is not nice to call the mothers bunch because they are at the age of our mothers even some personalities are hard but they are respected / bel3ks they are courages to take such a step to help their sons find the suitable bride / Malo el cooking and loving ur mother in law ?? isnt this the tradition u want to reserve it ? Yes marraige is a serious but the Habal in the show has nothing to do with the its message. If you hear mas3ed and basel discussion in today daily u will understand how much the show is serious./ even with some flirting and fun / Yes it is for entertaining to some exatent but it has a goal . It is good experience for us to learn more about the guys world / how they think and judge. finaly west eh wa marriage eeh / they dont need asln this show / you dont need to do this for me because in the west they live together without marraige 'cohabitation' y3ni / the marraige institution in the west changed / they prefer not to married because the marraige causes hate / or the escape the higher taxes payment / or they dont recognize the garands rules and they even have kids and make their legal papers but they might stay unmarried all their life . if they dont accept this show / it is because it doesnt make sense / unlike 7alna where girls and boys remain unmarried till allah yfregha .

I don't mean to butt in but I do think that this program encourages social change while at the same time being rooted in some traditional middle eastern values, like the importance of family.
Primarily, we see individuals being open to other religions and other nationalities. This in itself is soooo great because all too often all we hear is bad things about "the other." Second, we see that it's "okay" that boys and girls are living nearly together (or wholly together in the case of Star Ac). This defeats the old-world notion of girls having to be totally isolated and unable to fulfill their destiny on their own. The show also has a safeguard--the moms don't have the ultimate power. Soon the girls will be able to kick out a guy and moreover, the guy HAS TO AGREE on who his mother chooses to kick out. I do disagree with how the moms are treating some of the girls though....
