cuz i went to the exam half an hour late that class was pointless cuz all the teacher can teach us was stories about how he regreted buying a car on lease :S it was personal finance class (seriously, since they gave me the choice of choosing which math i wanted, i'll OBVIOUSLY pick a math i can actually use in my life ) so all we did was talk about buying cars, how to pay mortgages, etc.. well depending on the teachers, most of the time, the sample questions are easier and less complicated, and sometimes the teacher will give u questions that are on the exam by mistake (happened to me lots of times )

In theory, the SAT is technically an "aptitude" test, while the ACT is an "achievement" test. For the SAT, you have to just know how the SAT works-- they ask a particular type of analytical reasoning question. To a certain extent, either you're good at the SAT or you're not. It's hard to gain a sufficient understanding of vocabulary through study, and some people just never get the math questions on the SAT. The ACT, on the other hand, tests your ability to apply what you know. To do this, of course, you have to actually know things-- naturally, some people who know a lot of things are very smart and do well on the ACT, but not so well on the SAT, for which you have to learn to think particular way the SAT wants you to think. Granted, the ACT also tests reasoning. What people tend to call the "science" section is actually "science reasoning" which requires its own special type of critical thinking. But it's true that the ACT is more straightforward. To do really well on the ACT, you have to be generally smart, good at math and grammar (well-read), and have some basic knowledge in all subjects. Almost anyone can study and do well on the ACT (I think). To do well on the SAT, on the other hand, you have to be generally smart, good at math and grammar, well-read, and above all else you just have to be good at the SAT. So a lot of people think the SAT is a lot harder than the ACT, and do worse on it. Another problem people have with the SAT is the vocabulary. The ACT does ask some vocabulary-related questions ("which of the following would NOT work as a replacement for the underlined word") but doesn't focus on it like the SAT does. Personally, I love vocabulary; I think it's a horrible shame when I'm speaking to someone, just talking in a way that's natural to me, and then I find out later that they totally didn't know several of the words I used and therefore missed the point of the conversation entirely. This happens a lot-- and I think the world would be a better place if everyone knew at least, I don't know, SOME of the words in the language that they primarily speak. But I digress: I do understand that people have a lot of problems with the vocabulary section-- if you haven't been reading a LOT for a good portion of your life, then you just aren't going to know many of the words the SAT expects you to know, and learning words by bulk memorization just isn't the same. And it often flat out doesn’t work. So a lot of people think the SAT is harder because they just don't have the vocabulary and it's a LOT harder to get vocabulary from studying than nearly anything else. In any case, that's my understanding of the ACT and SAT. Personally, I don't know. I took the ACT 8 times total (too many—I’ve had people imply to me that my high score is just a result of taking it so many times), starting in 7th grade. The SAT I took once a year in high school. And I still couldn't tell you which I think is harder. My scores would show that I'm better at the ACT, if you just look at the numbers: 35 and 2270. My specific scores for the SAT: 800 CR, 690 M, 780 W. For me, it was clearly just the math on the SAT that got me-- I'm one of those people who just never really got the math on the SAT (though I'm convinced if I'd studied for it more...) even though I did really well on the math on the ACT. But I’m still not sure I would say that the SAT is harder-- just very different.

I liked this post a lot. Even I am going to start the preparations for my law school admission exam. It is a difficult exam for me but I will do my best to crack it. In fact on the recommendation of my friend I have just enrolled with one of the TestMax LSAT Prep Courses as well.
