please don't repeat last year's phenomenon: sumaya, ahmad and sofia were carried on and on and on just because of their looks. I know the jordanian guy and the iraqi guy are cute and good looking so please do not repeat the mistake and fall for them as singers, it is not Models Academy.

Ok fadi i respect ur opinion and i hope u will respect mine too, finaly beauty is relativ, each person has a different taste but we should all respect each other tastes without beeing unpolite or negativ. and P.S : i didn't offense miryam, i just expressed my own opinion about the level of her beauty.

I must disagree with you, guest. As much as well all hate to admit it, being a star today isn't ALL about pure musical talent. There is no doubt that the most popular, international singers got to where they are because of talent, looks, and charisma. Do you think that Britney Spears is so famous and popular because of her musical talents? Of course not. Her music is all digitally remastered to sound good. What has made her famous is her looks and her likeability. She's pretty, can dance, and appeals to many people. Had she not had the looks, record labels would never have signed her in the first place. Perhaps a star's ability to last a long time lies in musical talent. But to be able to rise to the top of the entertainment industry, one needs more than talent. (an arab example....haifa wehbe).
I do not think it is wise for us to only vote on the star with the best voice or ability to play an instrument. We should vote for the star who has the best voice in conjunction with self-confidence, charisma, looks, and all-around appeal. That is a true star.
-Karen.

TOTALLY AGREE.. that's exactly what we should consider before voting....... but that's not what happened last year to be honest! ppl voted for the ppl according to where they r from ...... ok i'm egyptian and he's egyptian... then i'll vote for him...... oh he's saudi and i'm saudi .... then i'll have to vote for "ibn balady" (btw, i'm just giving examples)..... that's not how it works... coz it's not fair....... ok not all ppl did that... but most of them did to be honest!..... and unfortunetly.... this is how the voting process will be done this year too!!!

Thanks for your supportive comment, shyfluffy. I, too, at first thought that people were only voting for their own country men and women. However, if that was the case, wouldn't Khalawi be the winner? He was Saudi Arabian and represented by more people than most other contestants. You bring up a very good point, though. I personally thought that Khalawi was a terrible candidate to be a star. I was even unsure of how he made it to be one of the 16 and more so, how he stayed until the end. If a great portion of Saudi Arabians hadn't voted for him just because he was from their country, he probably would not have lasted. Still, I think that when it came to Bashar Vs. Attieh, people voted for the person who was more well-rounded. I guess we will wait and see!

I RESPECT ALL YOUR OPINIONS, BUT I THOUGHT ALTHOUGH MIRA HAD A BAD PERSONALITY, I THOUGHT SHE HAD THE BEST LOOKS, EVEN THOUGH SHE NEEDED TO LOSE WEIGHT. THAT'S MY OPINION. AND YOU GUYS ARE RIGHT WE SHOULDNT VOTE FOR UOR COUNTRYMEN BUT INSTEAD THE ONE THAT DESERVES IT, I REALLY LIKE AHMAD FROM KUWAIT.
