So you do agree with me that nationality plays a factor ;D I don't agree with your first reason c'est un prejugé, and I don't know what you mean by the second one Yes I know..and I don't wanna go into the details neither ;D i call it "countries" u call it"nationalities".. my 1st reason isnt "préjugé" it is reality..whn they go to Egypt,Lebanon;Tunisia,Kuwait,Syria..etc,they know they WILL get talents easily, its a fact. i don't mean tht in other countries there no talents..get me? 2nd reason is self explanatory tho,not all countries allow lbc to come & choose young ppl to be selected 4 singing competitions are you fr maghreb? ;D LOL that's not a fact but a prejugé .. LBC can easily find talents everywhere if it tries to make castings and publicity in every Arab country and spend an equal amount of time and effort doing that in each country..I don't agree that you easily find talents in some countries more than others ..why would it be the case? LBC has preferences that stem from des prejugés and interests.. I think all countries allow lbc to make castings, unless you have a proof otherwise, even in Saudi Arabia LBC can make castings there if they follow the rules of that country just as how concerts are organised there (.i.e. no mixing) loool you didn't recognise me? I am an old friend of Intika ..but I wish to keep it private ;D

One more thing, Star academy is not solely based on voice: dance, playing instruments, musical background, looks, physique, persona, charisma, mentality, nationality are all taken into consideration. I think what matters essentially when you apply there is simply the fact if they like you or not and if you click with the teachers..I don't think they chose necessarily the ones with the best voices. What if you have a golden voice but you suck in all the other criterias, I don't think they will pick you. So it's also based on luck. intika Hey, how is it going? Voice isn't everything in a show like starac but without it you can't go anywhere. Especially if they get contestants with very good voices, she'll be lost. Besides, i'd hate to see Reem be the weakest link on the show. It would be embarrassing for her and for us...

omg intika, you mentioned anas...in th wrong way; mind poster girl hahaha i agree with wht u said, though I like him as a person but he couldn't sing to save his life. i call it "countries" u call it"nationalities".. my 1st reason isnt "préjugé" it is reality..whn they go to Egypt,Lebanon;Tunisia,Kuwait,Syria..etc,they know they WILL get talents easily, its a fact. i don't mean tht in other countries there no talents..get me? 2nd reason is self explanatory tho,not all countries allow lbc to come & choose young ppl to be selected 4 singing competitions are you fr maghreb? ;D I'll just take your first ''fact/reality'' with humor otherwise i'd get offended. Now, to the million dollar question---How did LBC/Superstar and yourself determine that they'll have harder time finding talent in other countries if they never held castings there in the first place? Not only is it a myth but also the epitome of what a 'pejuge' is...

I am doing great popping out to arasale from time to time Hey Intika have you heard Reem's voice singing? For me I didn't.. She could have a good voice but I am sure she would struggle with oriental Arabic Radia from Star Academy France would be an excellent representative, I heard her singing Algerian Arabic she blew me away, but I am not sure if she could handle Oriental accent..also there is an 'animatrice' in "Fa mi la" her name is Nawel I think she has an incredible voice in Oriental I always thought she should apply to Star Academy LBC..also there is me with Kadem Essaher voice ;D but my parents wouldn't allow me to apply Also I love your signature, I think you should indicate where it is on top of it ;D

No i've never heard Reem singing . I'm not sure if you read my reply to the other post about that. You'll find it here... It's the last one. arasale.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=club&action=display&n=1&thread=17709&page=2The first time i heard Radia sing was when she did the generique for ''nass mlah city'', She has a great voice! People say that she sings Hawsi very well. and that requires great vocal abilities. The girl you mentioned from ''Familia'', are you sure it's the animatrice? because that one excels at western type of music (i think). i heard the other girl sing sharqi and she was great, but i don't think she should or would leave her job at l'ENTV for staracademy. The guy on the show is very good at sharqi too. If you sound like Kadem el Saher, it would be a shame to squander a talent like that. But that's life and your parents mean well. ;D Thanks. You posted that picture here. I forgot to do that the other day. It's done now.

Yes I was about Radia doing that generic..I always loved that voice but never knew it was hers until recently looool! I never knew she spoke Arabic aslan!! it's amazing for an immigrant girl! About the Famila girl, yes I was talking about the other one with the brown hair not the animatrice..also the guy is really good too!! I think I really could apply because I speak perfect Lebanese and Egyptian I can even sing Khaliji and I was told having a beautiful voice, people love when I sing to them and one time I made this girl break to tears when I sang "Aicha" to her ;D Do they make castings in the USA? and till what age can you still apply? I would have applied if my parents encouraged, but so far studies first ;D Thanks for listening to my advice about the pic, you rock Intika ;D By the way how's Zahraa? Didn't see her for a while now..

I am an old friend of Intika ..but I wish to keep it private ;D helloooo guest "old friend of intika" ;D..if you dont want to register..i'll call you by this nick:"old friend of intika", how abt that? i recognised you while posting..loool welcome back anyways..its been a while i havent seen you around.. back to our discussion, i don't disagree with you at all,you know..i just don't think lbc will one day go in avery single Arab country & spend th necessary time needed for casting audition-which would be th ideal thing to do,for sure- It goes without saying that talents exist EVERYWHERE,in Arab countries & among Arabs in th world (emigrants). & it would be interesting to ask lbc producers WHY they don't go "elsewhere", in our other countries??.. I grant you it might sound "a préjugé" to say tht in th countries i mentioned, talents can be found easily.. 8-)but i still think tht it's not because other countries haven't been visited for casting audition, that we should deny tht those mentioned countries have been great suppliers of divine voices..spclly recently. & as far as i know, hisham from starac 2,didn't have his casting audition in KSA;in Dubai..i think Lbc crews should have visited Algeria (im not saying this b/c you are algerian ) but because it is th land that gave birth to one of the GREATEST DIVAs of th Arab world, WARDA, & Fella (im fan of both for different reasons)& sheikha remiti & others.. sorry for this long post..im too lazy though ;D hey "old friend of intika", since you log in from time to time, why don't you register? btw, it's nice knowing you..

I would have applied if my parents encouraged, but so far studies first ;D Thanks for listening to my advice about the pic, you rock Intika ;D By the way how's Zahraa? Didn't see her for a while now.. That's my point exactly. Yes, it's possible that she'll prove us wrong but i can't help but think that voice-wise there is better out there. Again it's a feeling based on what i explained earlier. About Radia, she speaks Arabic so well because she was born in Algeria and she only moved to France when she a child. I didn't know about le generique either until they showed her at the end. As for Famila, i see exactly who you mean now. Oh wow! you can sing and speak Khaleeji and Sharqi That's great because it's not common for males in Algeria. You must have had some exposure to the culture. You're still young, maybe you'll have time to finish your studies and be able to apply after that... Hopefully, by then, your parents won't object to Staracademy. I don't think they do castings in the US, though:-/ but they might in the future. You're welcome. Thanks, i think you rock too. I see that Zahraa posted before me. ;D
