wow Karen i just read what u posted about your relatives trip! thank u SO much for sharing! w alf el7amdela 3ala salemiton! OMG what a journey!!!!!!  btw nancyagag has posted her experience here: www.arasale.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=star3&action=display&n=1&thread=32823and it seems so similar! but i loved the details in yours! thanx again for sharing! as for how the Canadians r handeling this, yeah i heard the same thing  i even saw a reportage on CTV, where they were interviewing the people when they arrived to Canada, and the people were MAD!!! even one lady was like that she prefers that she had stayed under the bombs on coming with them!!!!!!!! so yeah most of them were REALLY angry, while few others were 3adé and said inno ahamma shi inno woslo bil salemé... And i just read on the tayyar website that Israeli radio just said that they haven't overtaken Bint Jbeil yet even though a guy from the 3askar said they did.  |

The one about Saniye al-Akhrass is just devestating...she watched as her whole family died in front of her unbelievable, unbelievable. It's just heartbreaking. As for the second article about evacuation, when it says "We find we are contacting people who have left." ummmm....YA! after the embassy didn't contact my aunt in any way shape or form besides emails that say "don't come to the embassy, we'll call you." so they took their chances and went the syria route and are now home in egypt. The cost of Beirut to Syria ? $1000 for the taxi. |
