Here all the Lebanese-Americans we know have cancelled their trips to Leb and each family makes my mom soooo scared that we are still going. They all tell her "La shoo" "Mish arya7leek dalleek hon ?" "Shoo hal 'sayfeeyeh' bi lebnan ?!"

So my mom is reallllllly thinking of cancelling so she calls her brother in Egypt for advice

and he told her WHOOOOOO CARES about the bombs w the war with fa7 islam w the palestinian camps w the political unrest ... we gotta be strong and go and we'll have a greaaat time even if we are just sitting at home with the family ... he said all the lebanese in egypt are going and the American-Lebanese are just scared w mish fehmeen shee min shee

also ya3neh many of the people going from here in the U.S. are almost like tourists...ne7na we've been there so many times mish 3ayzeen to go visit all the popular places in lebanon...ya3neh its simple

um, yesterday i went shopping !! although things were fired up in the north , but I personally went shopping in Boulvard and then had lunch in Roadsters Asharafieh....and my friends all went the beach which was FULL to the max !! ...Lebanese are living there life as close to normal as possible ..yes we are listening to the news in the car instead of music ..but hell , we're still going out

and btw , DJ Testo is coming in July and so is Shakira !!!! ...Betdeddine festivals program will be annouced in a couple of weeks .....so Inshallah summer will be promising ..

Karen , as your wise uncle said ..even if you just sit @ home and never leave it...coming to Lebanon is still worth it , believe me ....just being here is worth all the fun that you might have in the US ....
