[glow=red,2,900] I know super star candidates are too much better than Star Academy one... I don't know but the idea of this topic is to relate between the candidates of the two programs... meaning this one is like who in the other program.. I was thinking yesterday and I found a very interesting trio.. Two from the same country who have an excellent friendship: Ahmad & Bahaa like Houssam & Brigitte Isn't it interesting?? In fact, Ahmad and Houssam have many things in common: nice guys, good look, charisma, popularity and of course excellent voice.. And Bahaa and Brigitte are both of them nice and funny and loves Ahmad and Houssam!!! Their friend would be Khalawy and Hadi who would be related also... hehehe Let's try to give for each one a representant in the other program.. I'll think of the others later on..[/glow]

Excellent Correlation! I love the examples that you chose to connect Star Academy to Superstar, and I agree with all of those connections. Ahmad certainly corresponds to Hossam, Bahaa to Brigitte, and Khalawy to Hadi. Completely cool!
In Star Academy, I think the best personality was not only Khalawy but also Leila. People have said that Leila was mean, but I say no. I have it taped, and it was Mira who made Leila look bad. I really do not like Mira, not only because of this, but she completely used Atteya. Leila was so sweet, and she reminds me of Abir completely. Leila was also confident in saying her ideas, and this is just like Abir.
Back to the correlations you mentioned haa70, those are true completely. But I think I like the Superstar candidates better than the Star Academy. But PLEASE NO ONE GET ME WRONG ON THIS. I really love Ahmad, Bahaa, and Khalawy. Anyone can read my previous posts in the Star Academy forum. I really love them, but I felt more close to these three from Superstar, and I guess because I am their ages and I can relate to them a alot more. With the aspect of voices, I love Bahaa's personality, but I mean her voice can fit one category in music, national songs with strong voices (i.e. Fairouz - my favorite); Brigitte on the other hand has an exceptional voice fit for practically any genre as Abdallah pointed out to us in the prime when she finished "Agmal Ihsass" by Elissa. Ahmad is also a person of expcetional behavior. He loves his friends, and that is the same way as Hossam as seen on how he greeted Mustafa after they finsihed from the prime (so welcoming). As for Hadi, my favorite out of the whole program, he does in someway acts as Khalawy because he can act really strict (bodyguard in Hossam's video). But Hadi serves as a great actor as well, as his bio states; he loves theater, and loves to act. On a personal note, I am that way. I love to act.
Thanks haa70 for such an intriguing topic.

I was coming to mention another interesting connection between the two programs when I found that Shooda mentioned it already Very true!! Abir & Leila are very close even if I prefer Abir but I like also Leila.. But I feel Abir is more funny and smiles more... But they have the same style and they want to express their feelings which is very nice.. Oh yes me too I feel more close to Super Star candidates.. I loved Ahmad in Star Academy.. When he left in fact, I was sad but a day after I forgot.. Here, I can't.. I love Houssam.. but I think I won't forget till the end.. I couldn't even sleep when Houssam left while I slept when Ahmad left All my day, I talk about Poor Houssam.. I didn't say that about Ahmad.. So I love Houssam more than Ahmad... And I love also Brigitte and Hadi more than Khalawi and Bahaa... It was in fact my favorite trio in Star Academy also ;D About the egyptians, Ranim is more funny than Attieh.. I love him a lot more.. What do you think?? Okay let's continue our discussion... Others, what do you think?? What about the other candidates??

Well I am glad we thought of the same things, haa70. You know just yesterday I checked out the Superstar website, only to find that Ranim is acutally the same age as Atteya. Both are 20 years old. But I kind of agree, haa70, I love Ranim a whole much more than Atteya. I don't know why. I mean the people that I loved in Star Academy were Ahmad (#1), Leila (#1 also), Khalawy, and Bashar. Atteya was good but at times a lot more active, and I think I saw him winning in his acting than singing. People like that, and I liked it too, but the acting had a little more weight in his popularity. Atteya would be great actor, but then again Ranim has both acting skills and singing skills.
By the way, on Ahmad, I was crying when he left; I loved him so much, because he was so nice to everyone, and such a great friend, not to mention a great voice as well. That whole day was sad when he left, and I taped the prime twice. How bad is that? But Hossam left a mark as well and I think greater than Ahmad even though Hossam was my #2 in Superstar, and Ahmad my #1 in Star Academy. And this goes back to the fact that I felt closer to my trio than the candidates from Star Academy.

my opinon in the star academy vs. super star
- for voices, though star academy has some good voices, super star has more. however, the point of star academy is to take talented people and make them better. that's why it's an "academy." plus star academy is looking for people who are multi talented - voice dance theater and more - where as superstar is looking mostly for voice. also, star academy let down the students in the voice department. they could have trained them more than madame marie's pathetic classes. she did the same exercise everyday for 4 months at 8 or 9 in the morning and that is just not going to cut it. and we didn't get to see wadi3 and michel's class so we don't know what went on there. plus, star academy was still in its first season so it hasn't worked out all the flaws yet. i think the voices next season will be even better and there will be no soumayas or yassers
- as a show, star academy is much more entertaining. all the students had such interesting personalities and were so creative and funny, though i can't really see that in the superstar group, possibly only a couple of them. plus in star academy you saw their journey into the entertainment world and they seemed almost like part of the family because you got news from them everyday. plus, just the fact that they were such good friends made you happy to see them.
superstar is good but if i had to pick one, it would definitely with out a doubt be star academy. ;D
