Shooda, Haa70...sorry to disappoint you both but mbc's starsearch is not presented by Jalal but by Razan Al Moghrabi (jalal is in canada now and out of tv buisness)
show is airing thursdays..not a bad show but not interesting, razan sucks

Sorry to tell you that you are wrong!
The reason is that I saw the program in its first episode and Jalal was presenting it ;D
How can he be in Canada and I saw him with my own eyes presenting the program..

Please do not think that I hate you StarAc; on the contrary, you are a cool person. But if haa70 saw it with his own eyes, then I believe he is right. That's pretty weird though.

Of course we do not hate StarAc.. Why would we hate him?? But this information is not right.. I will try tonight to see in the site if there is something that confirms what I'm saying..
But I have to add that in fact, Jalal was planning to go to Canada and stop working with TV.. But after he left LBCI and before leaving to Canada, many stations asked him to come in.. And he found this program interesting as he said in an interview with a lebanese magazine.. So he came to MBC and maybe after the program finishes, he will go to Canada but he doesn't know yet..

Timings: Thursday 18:30 GMT Star Search is a 90mins variety/talent series inspired by the original "Star Search" U.S. television programme (1983) which helped launch the careers of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake,Ray Romano, Sinbad and Martin Lawrence and many others. This show is all about "making dreams come true" This show has a positive approach and in no way were the performers given critical assessments or to humiliate them and was in no way demeaning. The production took a number of steps to ensure that the performers ( both winners and losers ) felt proud of what they had done and were seen as an inspiration. All performers were given full assistance with choreography, costuming, make-up and rehearsal. They were presented in the most professional manner possible. And now on MBC it will broadcast live once a week for 13 weeks, beginning with its premiere lead show with best highlights of the making of the show on Thursday the 15th of July and the first Live show the following week on the 22nd of July and the final will broadcast on the 7th of August. Star Search will feature live tournament-style competitions in three categories - adult singer, junior singer, comedians, culminating in the grand prize winning STAR in each category. The suspense will build each week, as the competition will have two performers competing head to head in each category with the winners advancing to the quarter-final round and possibly to the grand finale.
