oh shooda calm down, i was shocked like u, but i assure u that shadi didn't say anything about drinking, but to be even more sure i will search for u right now in my tapes to confirm it. bass i am sure that this didn't happen. inshaAllah la2i shi because as i told u i have from since he left, so there is a small chance for me to find it as for the tatoo thing, i don't think that it could tell the religion of someone, because in both islam and christianity, tatoos r haram... because u r changing God's creation... bass as sagittarius said, if u drink alcohol doesn't assure that u r not muslim, because unfortunately many muslims do it, which makes me soooo sad

oh shooda calm down, i was shocked like u, but i assure u that shadi didn't say anything about drinking, but to be even more sure i will search for u right now in my tapes to confirm it. bass i am sure that this didn't happen. inshaAllah la2i shi because as i told u i have from since he left, so there is a small chance for me to find it as for the tatoo thing, i don't think that it could tell the religion of someone, because in both islam and christianity, tatoos r haram... because u r changing God's creation... bass as sagittarius said, if u drink alcohol doesn't assure that u r not muslim, because unfortunately many muslims do it, which makes me soooo sad Thanks katkoot so much. Please do tell me when you find something. About tatoos, yes, they are banned in Christianity and Islam. Living all my life in America, I went to a Christian school, though I am a Moslem, just for the education. Sometimes the private schools are the best in education during elementary school. Seriously! But anyways, so I spent 3 years there, and I learned a lot and became open-minded about Christianity. And ofcourse, all the teachers there no matter what field they taught us were devout Christians. Now for my art teacher, she told us never to put any markings on our skin as it is against what God has given you, and if she said this about markers, tatoos would be a complete no. So this shows that Christianity and Islam believe the same with tatoos.
And the alcohol thing, yeah katkoot, I know that Muslims do it and it is sad. Frankly and honestly, katkoot, the Arabic here own gas stations - the whole lot of them do. I mean we know practically all the Arabic people here, and 80% of them work or own a gas station. And katkoot, it DRIVES ME CRAZY? Why? Not only do they sell alcohol but they consume it. An Arabic is thinking to own a liquor store, and I mean we are friends with them but you have to be cautious, and try to advise them in the right way. One time they invited us to a restaurant and that same Arabic guy ordered a wine (for him obviously because we were not going to drink it). My sister just wanted to look at the label and almost grabbed the bottle, and I slapped her hand LOL! I would not call myself extremist, but there are rules that you must follow, and I obey them. But consuming the alcohol is not the only thing the Arabic Moslems do here. They sell those nasty magazines and even gamble - not to mention smoking cigars like mad. Sometimes, I say to myself I don't care if I play with their children, because it is better than staying with the guys and discuss about the haram business that they are working on.

oh my God shooda, everyday i discover that we have so much in common!! we have the same thinking!! ;D wow cool!! i am so happy for that ok now back to shadi's drinking subject, well as i thought, unfortunately i didn't find that episode they were talking about, but thanx to my search for it, i found one that i didn't know that i even had!! it is the one where ragheb 3alemeh was the daif, and they were still 8!! i was so happy!! in it ragheb 3alemah told shadi: " ma fi hada yshoufak w ya3erfak, illa ma yhebak!!" ;D and shadi sang :dehket el dunia", and was very famous with it along with "tab leih"!! see how ironic? "dehket el dunia" was the song that ahmad hated most, and was almost the main reason that he lost!! yeah so anyways, not to keep u waiting, now when i read what nano had posted, and i concentrated on her words, i remembered exaclty that conversation!! nano is right but with a slight tiny difference that changes the whole sentence!! instead of rania saying: " last year if u remember once rania told shadi aswad that she will tell the jury what he did the day before, he laughed and said no don't, she said no i will tell, and said that shadi didn't sleep at night and he was drunk", rania said: "shadi didnt sleep at night and he was SAHRAN!!! OK? not SAKRAN!! sahran!! so please nano concentrate well next time!! u really scared us over here!! ;D and shooda, i saw a funny part from one of the EXTRA's (shadi's last one), and i think that u might like to know it. all the contestants were on the beach, and they showed us shadi training on that water sport where u have to hold on to a rope, and the boat will move u fast... well there shadi was falling like every second and splashing into the water!! lol!! until in the end where they showed us how expert he became, and he was saying that : "here they r teaching us everything", and u see him holding the rope with one hand, and then in the other one hand, and then in the end in his mouth!!! then suddenly the camera zooms out for us to see that all that time he was standing ON the boat, not in the water!!! loooooooool!! oh God that was so funny!! ;D and if u would like to know, shadi's famous word, like a trademark, was "yo2bosh"!! ;D ok i have said too much, but as for diddlina, well hussam el shami is muslim from south of lebanon yalla take care...

hi shooda i know what u mean i am also raised in a christian school in a matter of fact a school runned by nuns "though i am moslim:" those are the best schools in egypt .well, what most moslems don't know that alchols are not allowed in the christian i mean they aren't allowed to be drunk so i think being drunk doesn't indicate ur religion because both religions don't allow it by the way when hadi was singing & i was so touched by the song they kept showing an ugly woman i thought maybe she's a relative to hadi then i told myself"naaaaa!she can't be a relative of his she's so ugly & he's so f**king handsome" i was shocked when rania represented him as his mother . for god's sake how can both hadi & shadi be that handsome while their mother looks like that

To Katkoot:
1 - I am so glad that we do have things in common. It is good when you have someone who shares the same ideas as you do.
2 - About the drinking subject. Thanks so much for clearing that up. I was so scared - I have this ethic where I constantly do not want to find something bad about a person whom I have admired or liked for quite some time. Some friends in high school turned out to be bad, and I was in a state of amazement, and everytime I looked at my friends, I would imagine the bad things about them, and it was not really desireable.
3 - About the Extra thing, LOL (times infinity). How cool is that! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Katkoot, I have to see it. Your description was so interesting that I have this urge to wanting to see it. You said that it was a tape in the PAL system? And did you say that you are living in Canada right now? I wonder if there is some way that I could just get that program. We could work something out just as we did before. I am sure that if you made a copy, I could do all the necessary things to make it into our system here in America. And we could trade as you said, if you wanted to.
You know the funniest thing: when we were discussing the subject of trading before, I remember constantly thinking that you were a boy speaking. Silly of me, but I still remember that vision. Plus, it is hard when you do not have any picture of yourself or anybody else here in the forum because I just imagine what everyone looks like.

no nano i don't have the tape, as i said i didn't find it!! so please could someone who has it make it clear for us? please... and LuLu, i am 100 percent sure that hussam is muslim... now shooda, i am so happy that u liked what i told u about shadi's funny part!! and by the way, i also get so sad and disappointed when i find something bad in someone i like or love... as for the tapes, if u can find a multi system tv and video and borrow it from someone, then we will think in a way of how to exchange the tapes, and after we r done we will return them back and about this boy girl issue, i know what u mean, because i always used to imagine that u were a girl!!! lol!! ;D

wow, this conversation is getting more and more interesting.
like deero said, we christians aren't allowed to be drunk. alcohol itself is not forbidden but being drunk is. and gambling is a sin too.
as for tatoos, the subject is unclear and open to interpretation. actually many middle eastern christians get a tattoo of a cross on the inside of their wrist in jerusalem once they make a pilgramage there.
now for hadi's mom.......ok this is gonna sound mean........but she looks kind of manly......but i guess its ok in the sense that she passed on her manly looks to her sons. weird, huh?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! D, you think like me as well. katkoot and haa70 have been in your place as we think the same. I had no idea you were thinking that as well. I told my dad when the voting finished that maybe after everyone heard about his uncle drinking beer that they quit voting for Mohaned, because it just BROKE THE RULES. Could be possible!

no i don't think that the people will think like that i mean u can't judge the person with his uncle moreover mohinnid has been in danger befor his uncle said the beer thing moreover we should judge him with his voice "his singing " not with drinking
