this year if we compare different religions of the candidates of
the academy, we find out that EIGHT over 21 are christian, which is a huge number considering only 8% of arabs are actually christian.
it's like LBC is casting christians on purpose for political reasons.
another note, that all 3 syrian candidates are christian, and are of high performance and vocal abilities which means that in the final stages we will see all three of them. which contradicts with other seasons when they barely chose one syrian candidate w zalamooh, or none. also smell politics in the air.

LBC is no stranger to politics. However, Joy was a Christian Syrian and got kicked out during the Rafik Harriri prime which was almost too coincidental while Mohamed Bash was a Muslim Syrian and they hardly "zalamooh", on the contrary he was treated like a prince.
Lebanese: Katia, Maya, Tina, Mostafa, Saad were all Muslims and went very far. Nazem too <3
Except for Bassil, all Jordanians have been Muslim. Same with Egypt, all Muslims except Lara. There are millions of Iraqi Christians living in Lebanon, married to Lebanese, have Lebanese moms, they could easily pick one but they never did.
Maybe 8% of Arabs are actually Christians, but in the Arabic entertainment industry they make up a much higher proportion and once upon a time Jews did as well.
So there's no need to rationalize anything, they are all talented and it really doesn't matter. Music has no boundaries.

i wonder that the real purpose of this thread is to tell nassif is christian!  Well Jozef Attya is also christian and he was so popular. five winners= Mohmed Atya, Hisham, Shatha, Nader, Aziz = muslims Jozef= christian.  btw fairuz who is loved by all Arabs is a christian as well. Nassif is the most talented this year, he is even better than all the above winners, and he deserved to be crowned from prime 1!!  |

Do we even know if Miral Zahrildeen, Rayan Eid, and Ramy Chemaly are Christian?
And to add to what was said above, it took them 6 seasons to finally get a Christian Egyptian (Lara), though Egypt has more Christians than any other Arab country, and they've had tons of Egyptians on the show.
I find it interesting to know the candidates background, but it doesn't make a difference to me at all in how I feel about them. Personality and talent are so much more important in this show.
