Well, first of all, I guess many of us were surprised with Cedra being designated as a nominee; it's true it was unfair compared to other girls' performance during the last Miss Lebanon show (her answer), if that's the reason for nomination. Let's say it was a mistake, but for God's sake you can't correct something wrong with another wrong decision.

With all my respect to her decision, I think it wasn't the right one. Her parents came and convinced her that her nomination was unfair, so what, if there are so many people saying so and voting for her; this means she deserved to stay and she could prove to the teachers that she is worth staying and their decision to designate her was wrong. 1- Although she says that she is totally convinced with what she did, I guess there will be a time in her life when she will regret that moment. As Atiyye said never quit, this is a lifetime opportunity to live such an experience. 2- SHE WILL NEVER KNOW WHETHER SHE WOULD EVER BECOME MISS LEBANON....... that's really sad. 3- She abused the trust of the people who gave her the opportunity of being among the 16. 4- It seems as if she was participating in this competition for her mother, where is her own character and her personality, with all my respect to the idea of her respecting the parents' idea and decision. I mean she seemed so confident and sure of what she was doing, and she contradicted herself when she said well this is a game and these are the rules. 5- I've known her before participating in Miss Lebanon, even the first time, she used to play Basketball, and I played against her several times in the Lebanese championship. This doesn't show any sport spirit....... 6- Besides as Shukri, the choregrapher, said it might be a negative point in her CV in the future for work contracts and stuff. He was absolutely right...... 7- None of the girls said a word, they said if that's your decision and you are convinced with it, it's OK. For God's sake, even if they are in competition and may be happy for her leaving, but they could say something and prevent her from leaving.. What she did shows that she wouldn't accept anything but the crown...... wrong approach. I don't see it right, what do you think ??

I agree with you 100% maybe being nominated was the wrong decision to make but this should make her fight back by sticking by it. I felt sure that she was quite capable of becoming miss lebanon because of the 16 girls she was the most natural and sweetest. I was really saddened by the news. And I feel that she isn't really convinced with the decision because she was prepared to remain in the competition aftet talking to Chucri.. On the phone to her mother she sounded as if she wanted to stay and just wanted her mother's approval..
I can't imagine Cedra feeling too happy right now. being torn between her own thoughts and her parents' i can't imagine would be easy. Still I think she should listen to her own inner voice!
And just as you said, i too believe that leaving will one day haunt her because she will never really know how far she could have gone. Albeit this is a "game" but she decided to enter and she made it this far, that means that this competition is important to her. ESPECIALLY since this is the second time she enters the Miss Lebanon competition...
Anyway, all the best to her whatever she does in life...
And who knows, maybe she'll return just as Manal Azzi returned after leaving the competition in 2003...? Well let's hope to!!

well, I don't think returning will be a good step. it will make things worse, because returning shows inconsistency and hesitancy. I mean u should stick to something and make up your mind, it's a game, but you can't lose and then win in the same game.
"ÇáÑÌæÚ Úä ÇáÎØíÆÉ ÝÖíáÉ" but I don't think it applies to this case....

I forgot to mention that by this she took the place of any other girl who could have been in her place among the 16. she shouldn't have participated in the first place if she can't take it easy.
Good luck to her anyway.

i think ur right girls, but what i am sure of, Cedra or let's say her mom & dad felt betrayed. Well, life is rebe7 w khsara, and as if they were guaranteed she's gona be miss liban or probably they're sure that there are some girls deserve to be nominated b4 her. If she was left to the 6 finals, I dont think she or her parents would think that she forfeits.. anyway this is too late to discuss about... as she said..and i like when she said it.. 3asa an takrahou shay2an wa houwa khayron lakom...sadakallaho al3azimlakom..this is in the koran...

i agree 100% with u Sandy1, she surely did take the easy way out instead of hanging there for us, her fans... and whats her mum issues???

Cedra wasn't actually my favorite, and I didn't think that she would become Miss Liban, but a finalist for sure. Sandra is a potential candidate now, she is so calm, cool, polite and pretty, although I don't really like the way they present her in the Friday shows. There's something wrong with her make up and dresses they give her. She is much more beautiful with little make-up.
