Vogue Magazine: Stone, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Birdman, shows off her tickets to the 87th Academy Awards. She took her mother, Krista, as her date.

Makeup artist Rachel Goodwin's kit. "The makeup had a vintage feel," says Goodwin of the look devised for Stone. "It was all soft, warm tones. There were no blacks—it was fresh skin and all browns, peaches and creams."



Chanel manicurist Ashlie Johnson chose the company’s polish in Secret—a peachy beige with an opaque cream finish—for Stone's nails.

The team from Elie Saab makes last minute adjustments to her custom chartreuse beaded gown.

"Emma is our muse. Petra sets the tone with the clothing and we approach every red carpet look like we are telling a story,” says Goodwin of the group’s collaborative spirit. Here, they look over last minute details before the event. "We are a great team—we all have the same sense of humor, the same aesthetic, and we know how to let each other shine.”



Flannery lays out Christian Louboutin shoes, Tiffany & Co. cuffs and earrings, and a selection of clutches alongside a swatch of chartreuse fabric from Stone’s Elie Saab gown.



In a nod to Stone’s pale green dress, Goodwin picked up a Le Feu de L’Eau Chartreuse candle to burn inside the hotel room.



"We are all obsessed with florist Maurice Harris of Bloom and Plume's Instagram account. He gives all of his arrangements crazy names, so we had this one—called 'Carshanda Rose'—delivered to Emma to make her laugh," says Roszak of a moment of pre-event fun.

The team also brought a giant chocolate cupcake from Crumbs Bake Shop with a sparkler on the top to celebrate Stone's Academy Award nomination.



We decided at the last minute to go a bit shorter," says Roszak of giving Stone a quick pre-Oscars trim to her bob.



"I always have an assortment of hair accessories with me," says Roszak. "I've collected these vintage brooches, pieces of ribbon, pins, and clips over the years."



Goodwin found this photo of a rose in gelatin “inside a book of Tim Walker's photographs and I knew immediately this was the color combination I was looking for between [Emma’s] dress and the makeup,” she says.



"It called for an unexpected pairing to keep it young and surprising," says Goodwin of blending two equally bold shades to create the perfect lip color. "I was inspired by the spring palette, the combination of coral and chartreuse are colors you would find in a garden."



Goodwin finishes by applying Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Tulip to Stone. "The lip was the focus of the look," says Goodwin. “A beautiful coral mouth that was really fresh and exuberant—just like Emma. She wears color so well, I knew it could be vivid without being overwhelming."



"Emma has so much fun with the red carpet," says Goodwin of the finished look, captured just before Stone headed out the door for the night.
