The Phantom of the Opera

I've seen this movie only recently and I have to say that I was so stupid to put off watching it for so long. It was amazing! The songs, the performances, the love story/triangle, the characters, the sets, the direction, the .. everything! Just the title song alone can lure you into the movie and grab your attention. I'm suddenly obsessed with the movie and I feel like watching it countless times. I'd love to discuss it a little with some of you who have seen it. Feel free to give your opinions whether you agree with me or not ofcourse.

And if you haven't seen it then I highly recommend that you do.
- If you like musicals that is, because 98% of the dialogue is in song . But believe me it makes it all the more magical and you won't notice the difference in a negative way

*blush* I know that this will sound very girlish but who else thought that The Phantom was very sexy and seductive despite being deformed ? .. I certainly did ;D

I know ! And it's one of those rare movies that I instantly want to watch again right after I finish watching it!
Oh yes Emmy Rossum was wonderful . Her voice is enchanting! She is perfect for the part. I especially like The Phantom. Gerard Butler did a great job and he sang and acted impressively well.
I watched it again yesterday ;D

I didn't expect to love it.

nouf the first time i saw the movie i loved it.. the second time i loved it even more
and the 3rd time was even better

u just can't get sick of the movie, winty 3ad u made me love the movie even more ;D i wouldn't have watched it if it weren't for u forcing me to ;D lol jk , well u did technically ;D

to sum everything i said up, it's definitely one of my top fav movies.

speaking character wise:

loved The phantom and Christine *two thumbs way up* this movie has the first sexy phantom in it too .. i don't think he's supposed to be sexy though ;D
In my opinion>The Phantom Kicks ass! He's a Genius 3ala golat il 3ajooz Giry.
. bas 3ad Christine tirfa3 i6`a3`6 shwey..Daloo3a and extremely confused and sometimes confusing.. she has made bad choices too..i don't wanna include any spoilers in my review so i'll shush)but she's sweet , delicate and likeable. ,AND I loathed Raoul,min jid 3`athiny o rafa3 6`a3`6y 3ala i aa5r!!


speaking performance wise:

then Gerard Butler(the Phantom) was awesome, he portrayed his character brilliantly and his voice is amazing and filled with depth in emotion.and u can't deny the fact that he's gorgeous , i mean even with a deformed face in the movie ;D

Emmy rossum (Christine) was absolutely perfect for the part, she shined through out the movie.. with her mesmerizing voice and remarkable performance!

and Patrick Wilson (Raoul ), ummm>>> No comment!
..........ok ok he portrayed Raoul in the best way possible << it took a lot of strength for me to praise him

Oh yeah and i can't believe i almost forgot Minni Driver who was my favorite charatcer along side the phantom (her character isn't likeable.. but god she was HILARIOUS ) i never knew she could play such a character as Carlota il 5ibla, and 6`aba6atha marrra!!

Story wise

the love triangle was one of the best i've watched so far in movies in general.. but didn't end the way...(ok i guess i was about to give away a spoiler so i'll shush again)
annnywaaaaaaaay.. the passionate love story/obsession from a certain character to another,the performances, the setting, and the music made this movie what it is.. an extraordinary movie!

I highly recommend this movie to those who weren't fortunate enough to get a chance to.
it's a good movie
the music rocks btw!! I can't believe i forgot to comment on the music.> It's a musical for crying out loud!! LMAO

Oh I love that song. It's my favorite. It's the title song "The Phantom of the Opera" . The Phantom (Erik- his real name) and Christine sing it as he's leading her into his lair.
My other fav. song is "The Point of no Return" .
And if you listen to the song that plays at the end of the movie when the credits are rolling "Learn to be Lonely", sang by Minnie Driver (Carlotta), you'll see what a wonderful and very sad song that is.
Get the soundtrack on cd, it's awesome!!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL ..
But you're right he was good for the part. I like that Raoul is annoying and not-so goodlooking. Otherwise we'd feel just as confused as Christine was.
It's easier to take sides this way
Also Partick played it well and he has a nice voice.
