Father of prominent Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq suffered a severe deterioration to his health forcing his immediate admittance into hospital for an open heart surgery. The singer has been going through the hardest time of his life at the hospital praying night and day that his father will survive the surgery, which doctors warned him will be very dangerous due to the clotting of almost %95 of the arteries.
The singer had kept the surgery a secret from the rest of his family members not wanting to worry them due to the severity of the operation. Ehab did not even notify his father of his condition and simply told him he was going to have a routine operation and that there is nothing to worry about.
The singer stood outside the operation room during the entire surgery not wanting to leave his father’s side. Ehab revealed that the operation was a successful one and thanked God that they agony of not knowing if his father will survive is over.
On a different note, Ehab denied recent circulating rumors that he is guilty of not paying a phone bill during his tour in Australia and that his home has been confiscated. The singer stressed that there is no such lawsuit against him and the rumors are mere lies.
It was rumored that a court in northern Cairo had confiscated the home of Ehab for the sake of Abu Al Houl Arts Company in Australia, who had sponsored his tour in Australia. The court’s ruling is based on a fine of 10 thousand US dollars and 10 thousand Australian dollars for a phone bill to the hotel the singer was staying at during his tour in Australia.
It was revealed that the contract Ehab had signed with the company specifically states that his phone bill is an expense that must be paid from his own money and is not the responsibility of the company. The company also claimed that Ehab had broken the terms of the contract when he held a separate concert for a different sponsor.
