Of course not! There is one bible for all the christians and there is no differences in the basic beliefs between the different christian rites, it's just very slight and secondary differences but all the christians have the same beliefs and the same bible.

There is almost no difference between catholics and orthodox..It is just that the orthodox fast longer than the catholics, they fast about 150 days in the year. Also they celebrate Easter and Christmas in different days because they follow the Julian calender while the catholics follow the Gregorian calendar, other than that there is no difference in any of the basic beliefs..they also pray almost in the same way.
Protestants are a little bit different but also not in the basics of christianity but in some secondary things like they don't have monks and they don't believe in the presence of saints which after all are really secondary things and don't affect any of the basic christian beliefs.
And all the christian rites have the same bible.

There aother things than catholic orthodox and protestant..baptist ??dunno all the names but I think there is more.. The baptists are some sort of protestants living in the english speaking countries. In the old times, the English church was a catholic church ruled by the pope of Rome but the king of England once wanted to do an act which the pope of rome found immoral so the king declared that the church of England is completely separated from the church of Rome and since that time, the English church is called the "anglican church" they have all the catholic principles but it's just that they rule themselves..the two principle churches that came from england then are the "anglican" which is catholic like and the "baptists" which is protestant like.

jackie and karen what are you from these 3 kinds ? I like to call myself christian as all christians are alike and have the same beliefs, if i belong to a certain rite, it just means that i feel more comfortable in worshiping God the way they do than i could feel with other rites but i do respect and like all the rites..I think my rite is a very personal detail that i don't like to post in a public forum
