darn it i wanna listen to all these clips ... stupid net ... i will when the net goes back to normal and well i'll post the names of songs and artist coz my net wont even let me try to look for the clips on youtube I'm all for non-mainstreem music ;D .... but most of mine are oldies and classical/jazz/blues.. not sure u appreciate these things.. if you do, tell me so i could suggest some! this girl is starting to get pretty famous.. this is my fav song by her Adele - Hometown Glory Dead Flowers - Miranda Lambertand ofcourse i suggested Lara Fabian's songs min zaman not sure if u saw her vids or not but here are some of her songs... her performances are beyond emotion! Caruso - Broken Vow - You're Not From Here start with these... if you like them, i'll suggest more! [ OH note regarding looking these songs up, do it on youtube, and look up these performances "LIVE on PBS" , those are THE best, close to perfection, performances by her! ] Now to some acoustic-y kinda music : Newton Faulkner - Gone in the morning ( it's a pretty funny song ;D ) Newton Faulkner - People should smile more Better Together - Jack Johnson this one is totally irrelevant with the previous suggestions.. but i thought i'd throw it in there coz it's beyond beautiful! and it's mozart.. u can never go wrong with him Mozart- Requiem- LacrimosaOH and another one... by Beethoven Symphony no.7 in A majorok so enjoy ;D and tell me what u think of these

Souad massi is mainstream (or at least famous) in Algeria , France and is getting known in Europe. she got the BBC award but i guess she ain't mainstream in the Arab world besides north Africa. Love her. ps. I noticed that Iraqis in general are very open to other cultures and quite knowlegeable about North African culture compared to other Arabs.
