One of the worst days for Lebanese. Allah yerhamo. One of the best men we had. Di3an shababak ya libnan
yes jamjoum, i feel the same way. with the murder of tueni we lost more than a brillant journalist and politician. It is hard for other people to see it the way we do but Tueni was more than a man, he was like a symbol of resistance and he embodied the idea that we don't have to shut up and take whatever is given to us. We can go and demand freedom and demand sovereignty, and in the end we got some semblance of it. It is so smart for these murderers to go after someone with so much symbolism because its more than a death, its the crumbling of resistance against authoritarianism.
To all who don't know Gebran Tueni, these words from him on March 14 should give you an idea of the kind of person he was:
In the name of God We, Muslims and Christians, Pledge that united we shall remain To the end of time To better defend our Lebanon
In arabic,
Nuksom Billah Al 3atheem Musleemeen wa masee7eeyeen An Nabka Moowa7eedeen Ila abd al abeedeen Deefa3an 3an Lubnanoona al 3atheem
other than when my grandparents passed away, ive never seen my parents cry like they did today......i dont think the lebanese people are going to let this go by hopefully something will be done because he isn't just some lebanese guy, hes everything, hope, pride, freedom, he and Hariri were the biggest losses to our people, and I hope whoever is doing this will pay!!!
guys i am SOOO shocked i still can't believe what happened
GOD D A M N THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the scary thing was that AFTER i knew what happened, i directly remembered that i have dreamt of May Chidia2 i dreamt that she was back! and that i met her and talked to her and she now has an arm and a leg again!!!!!!!! but she wasn't walking really straight!
stakhfirallah el 3athim, why?? i dont understand? what do these sick ppl want?? do they get kicks out of killing ppl and ruining soo many lives? im not jus talking about Lebanon, but the whole middle east. ALLAH yirhamo La Ajil Lebnen

From Hanaa's family: So sorry for all the horrible annoying things you hear, that's usually from someone hateful that they don't know. Hope you are all ok and so sorry again for you having to hear annoying things. I'm generally keeping quiet and telephoning people instead.
